Accomodation

The hotels of Gulmarg are spread around the 3km perimeter of the golf course and vary in quality and price. The premier hotels are located close to the gondola, boasting ski in/ out whilst many cheaper hotels are located further from the gondola but closer to the village.

Being close to the gondola has an obvious advantage but you may find yourself rarely venturing out other than to ski. Being closer to the village requires a hefty hike (or tow) to the gondola but access to more amenities, restaurants and cheap chai.

Hotel Highlands Park

Arguably the nicest hotel in Gulmarg. Boasts a great view of the mountain and the best bar, 24h hot water, central heating. Distance to gondola (walking) 6mins

Hotel Pine Palace

Closest hotel to the gondola (1 min walking). Comfortable and warm. Central heating, 24h hot water and an up and coming Apres Ski scene.

Higher range accommodation.

Newer hotel with central heating, 24h hot water, restaurant, 10mins walk to gondola.

Hotel Hilltop

Modern hotel, central heating, 24h hot water, restaurant, 5mins walk to gondola.

Hotel Green Heights

Cheaper style accommodation, wood fire heating, hot water in buckets only, limited meals, backpacker style accommodation. 5mins walk to gondola.

Hotel Kingsley

Located close to the village/ market, 20mins walk to gondola.

Rosewood Huts, Shanu Huts, Falak Huts

Small family owned huts that can accommodate 3-4 people, wood fire heating, 10 mins to gondola, can get cold, bucket hot water, 10 mins to other restaurants, breakfast and dinner available for 500

Bakshi's

A cozy establishment generally packed full with loyal supporters, boasting some of the best food in the village and the best sound system. Wood fired heaters, shared bathrooms and once again ‘cozy’ (i.e. small), 15mins to gondola.

Global Hotel

Only six rooms available this winter, 12mins walk to gondola, 24h hot water, restaurant, friendly staff, guides office and booking service available (houseboats, heli-ski, touring, guides)
